- Does your pricing include the actual album?
Our pricing includes design services only. To keep things as simple as possible we let you choose your album company and place all orders under your account. That way your pricing and orders remain in your control.
- Which album companies do you design for?
We can design for any album company—all we need to know is the size of the album and number of sides. We gather this info from you when you place an order. If your album supplier has specific specs and file requirements we will obtain this information and make sure the final layout files are prepared correctly.
- Which album suppliers do you currently submit orders for?
Currently we are submitting orders directly to Queensberry, Leather Craftsmen, Seldex, Graphistudio, Asukabook, Cypress & KISS. If your album supplier is not on this list we’ll prepare the final files and ftp them to you for submission.
- Do you use templates to design albums?
No way. Every album is unique, inspired by the photography & the story.
- Are brides able to directly order albums from pink penny?
At this time we work exclusively with professional photographers. We provide design services only and don’t sell albums to the public. If you’re a bride and want to order an album we suggest giving our name to your photographer. We’ll be happy to give them information and set them up with an account if they’d like. You can also email us for other options if you aren’t able to order an album from your photographer.
- How do I create an account?
You can register your studio here.
- How can I see pricing?
After you create an account and go through the approval process you’ll receive a username & password to login to our client site. There you can see pricing, place orders and manage your account.
- What forms of payment do you accept?
- Do you offer a sample discount?
Yes, we are happy to offer you 20% off the total design fee for samples. You can use the sample discount twice a year.
- Do you offer pre-design?
Yes, we do! See the Our Services section of our site or email us for more info.
- What kind of image files can you work with?
We work with JPG or flattened TIFF files. Sorry, we can’t accept PSDs.
- What size files do you need?
The best rule of thumb is “as large as possible”. Most album companies print at 300 dpi. To ensure best image quality make sure your images are as large as a double-page spread for the size album you are ordering. This will give us the most flexibility with design and ensure the highest final quality of your images. We cannot take responsibility for compromised image quality if we receive files that are smaller than the requirements for your album supplier.
